How does it work?
On a surface level, I work with the bones of the skull and the pelvis. In turn, this affects the deeper layers of membranes and cerebrospinal fluids in the spinal canal, the brain, and the spinal cord itself. and all interconnected software tissues and vessels.
I use light touch to examine the membranes and movement in and around the central nervous system.
Through this focused and attuned touch, your body is facilitated to release channels of fluid stagnation and flow restriction, which ultimately breakthrough, overcome and improve the functioning of the craniosacral system and impacts the rest of the body.
A treatment works in the following ways:
- Helps restore normal cranial mobility;
- Releases abnormal myofascial restrictions and tensions in the body;
- Releases abnormal restrictions in the head;
- Eases restrictions of nerves;
- Optimizes cerebrospinal fluid movement through the central nervous system;
- Helps restore misaligned bones to their proper positions
- During treatment clients often feel deep relaxation, peace and wholeness again.
What is the craniosacral system?

The physical part of the craniosacral system includes:
- The meningeal membranes
- The osseous structures to which the meningeal membranes attach
- The other non-osseous connective tissue structures which are intimately related to meningeal membranes
- The cerebrospinal fluid
- All structures related to production, resorption and containment of the cerebrospinal fluid
However, it is influenced by and profoundly influences:
- The nervous system
- The musculoskeletal system
- The vascular system
- The lymphatic system
- The endocrine system
- The respiratory system
Craniosacral therapy has a profound effect on all systems of the body.
